Welcome Bupa members!

Thank you for supporting our work in this World Cup year.

Coaching for Hope is a charity that uses football to inspire and empower young people in Africa and in the UK.  Grass-roots coaches are trained through our specially developed curriculum, enabling them to use the love of football to promote key messages about health, respect for each other and the values of team-work.

The aim of our Coach Train campaign is to train 400 coaches by the end of the World Cup. Can you help us achieve this challenge? It's quick and simple to make an online donation via the link at the top of this page - your donation really will make a difference.

We have trained more than 700 coaches in Africa since we started.  Here's what two of them have to say:

Pauline Saoura is a teacher at the AMPO Orphanage in Burkina Faso.  She is a level 3 senior coach who promotes girls' football in a country where the majority of girls don’t attend school: “Before Coaching for Hope I was uncommunicative and shy.  I was scared to face life and to accomplish things.  Since working with CFH, I have changed a lot.  Everything I have learned has given me more confidence and I am feeling stronger and more confident than ever to face the future.  In the name of all the children I have worked with I want to say thanks to CFH”

A childhood bout of meningitis left Nouhoum Keita of Mali profoundly deaf.  He is now one of our most dedicated coaches and said of his training with us:  “People don’t know anything about HIV, they only see images on TV; Coaching for Hope is helping to make the reality of AIDS understood by the deaf community.”
