Adapt it! New disability curriculum in Mali

Mali hosted our largest ever coach training course in 2009 when 85 local coaches shared football and social education learning, working together to overcome problems such as HIV and AIDS, and discrimination of women and disabled people. 20 of the Malian coaches participated in the official pilot of our new disability curriculum: "Adapt it! A coaching resource for including people with disabilities in football coach sessions." It was also the first Coaching for Hope course to be officially supported by the Malian Football Federation.  Birama Konate, our Programme Assistant, said: “The support of the Federation, and more women and disabled people participating than ever before shows that the tides are shifting towards more inclusive football”
