The Children

The young people who participate in Coaching for Hope schools and benefit from the ongoing training are orphans or vulnerable children. They have little access to sport, cultural activities and health education. For them, playing in a tournament is a life-enhancing experience which raises their confidence and self-esteem. The art workshops enable them to express themselves by making collages, models and colourful abstracts. The health sessions teach them about HIV and AIDS.

So far (August 2007) Coaching for Hope has run HIV awareness and football sessions for over 1,000 young people in Mali and Burkina Faso.
